If you've seen today's Google doodle, you might know that today is Earth Day - according to Wikipedia "a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment."
Environmentally friendly options are becoming increasingly well recognised across many industries and housing is no different, including the much-maligned EPC of course.
In our home town of Crawley, the local council recently won a mind-boggling grant of £450,000 to provide 'extreme eco makeovers' to just four council homes.
"Work on the properties will start in the next six months and will include a range of insulation like Spacetherm insulation, Nanogel insulation and under-floor insulation. The work will also include LED lighting, solar panels, combined heat and power boilers and triple glazing."
All of this is a long way for me to say today is a good day for putting out a 'green' PR story if you have any eco-properties on the books!
Perhaps listing only green homes is another idea for the estate agent USPs list too!
